The TPS61088RHLR Texas Instruments is a fully integrated synchronous boost converter. Equipped with an 11mΩ power switch and a 13mΩ rectifier switch, it provides a highly efficient, small form factor solution for portable systems.

With a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 12V, the TPS61088RHLR Texas Instruments supports applications powered by single or two-cell lithium batteries.

The TPS61088RHLR uses an adaptive constant off-time peak current control topology to regulate the output voltage. Under medium to heavy load conditions, the TPS61088RHLR operates in pulse width modulation (PWM) mode. At light loads, the mode pin allows the device to select one of two operating modes. One is a pulse width modulation (PFM) mode that improves efficiency; The other is a forced PWM that avoids application problems due to lower switching frequencies

Mode. The switching frequency in PWM mode can be adjusted via an external resistor from 200kHz to 2.2MHz

The TPS61088RHLR also implements programmable soft-start and adjustable switching peak current limiting. In addition, the device provides 13.2V output overvoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown protection.
